The Garden Club of the Lakes, Inc. is a non-profit, scientific, educational association organized for the purpose of stimulating and coordinating the interests of gardeners living in the lake region of Keystone Heights and Melrose in Florida and to promote their closer relations of mutual helpfulness; to aid in the protection and conservation of natural resources, especially in the protection of native plants and birds; to encourage and promote civic beauty and roadside improvements; to advance the fine art of gardening, the study of horticulture and the artistic use of lplant materials; to work in cooperation with other agencies in furtherance of the interests of horticulture and conservation and to do and perform all other acts and things necessary to carry out such purposes.
