-Wednesday, November 19th, 10 am-
Hatchet Creek Nursery
We had four members Jackie Host, Cheryl Owen, Shirley McKendree, & Elsie Mills, brave the cold and go on the Hatchet Creek Nursery tour. Geroge Griffin lead us on an informative tour while explaining the steps of starting the plants and how they grow and become ready to sell. George ships plants all over the United States. He starts his cuttings from his own stock plants. We encouraged him to start growing more native plants.

Plants in the first stage. George showed us some plants we had never seen before and let us buy some at wholesale prices. One we really took a shine to was a shrimp plant called "Fruit Cocktail". He also donated plants to the Girl Scouts that are helping with the McRae Butterfly Garden.
