(LAM) Lake Area Ministries FOOD PANTRY GETS HELP FROM OUR CLUB (MONEY AND LANDSCAPE PROJECT).

A "Night at the Opera", on Saturday, June 26th was hosted by our Club in partnership with the Keystone Heights Woman’s Club. As you know this WAS a fund raiser to help the Lake Area Ministry with their building fund for a new place to store and distribute food for those in need. The project was very sucessful and raised over $3000 and everyone enjoyed the perforamance.   After that LAM said they needed help with the landscaping so our club designed and installed a "Plant It Pink"  garden which is an NGC project to help raise breast cancer awareness. Among the plants selected for the landscape were pink Knock Out Roses, pink Crepe Myrtles, pink Dianthus and pink Begonias.  Club members enlisted the Keystone Heights FFA to help plant some of the trees and got many of the supplies such as fertilizer and mulch donated.  Club members have collectively worked more than 200 hours on the landscape project.
